Job Summary

Manage activities toward gathering and communicating market access insights, competitive intel, and NS Pharma performance. Be the point in working with a contracting vendor to collect payer utilization data, communicate insights gained, and manage the contract administration process. Build & manage MA key performance imperatives & metrics. Manage the MA commercial operations budget, and budget planning process. Manage agency & vendor MA agreements, internal MA meeting needs, new drug launch MA planning process and perform various MA projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Conduct analytical research, provide analysis, track, conduct analysis and communicate; existing and emerging payer market trends, coverage policies, formulary listings, competitive landscape, pricing/reimbursement, contracting strategies, and potential barriers to provider and patient access for new/launch and existing products
  • Collaborate with NS Pharma Operations and additional NSP associates needed to perform your job functions
  • Learn all SOPs relevant to your job performance
  • Manage new product launch effectiveness activities
  • Perform administrative work in supporting Market Access activities in gathering information, making external contacts, preparing presentations, dissemination of market access information to the Market Access team
  • Organize and manage logistics of MA team meetings, launch meetings & National company meetings
  • Perform MA tasks as necessary and/or requested
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Qualifications

  • Passion for, and business acumen pertaining to, US Reimbursement landscape for pharmacy & medical benefit products, including Site of Care, GPO and commercial, federal & state payers
  • Preference for a candidate who has demonstrated effective performance in a small-midsized & multi-cultural team environment
  • Capability to manage a contract administration process
  • Budget, time and project management skills
  • Organizational skills & ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Work independently with some supervision for guidance
  • Possession of strong analytical, problem solving, decisiveness, judgement, competitiveness, organizational leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong knowledge and use of computer applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

Education and/or Experience

  • Preference of an MBA or post graduate degree in a related healthcare focus.
  • Greater than 8 years of multiple experience working in Marketing, Operations, Training, Market Access and/or Sales in pharmaceutical, oncology or rare disease companies that have led to increased levels of responsibility
  • Buy & bill, medical benefit experience is a plus
  • Previous drug launch commercialization experience
  • Ability to model competencies of: Business Acumen/Job Expertise, Teamwork and Collaboration, Customer Orientation/Centricity, Accountability, and Commitment to Excel (going above and beyond)
